Description:

The exiting home needed a renovation. The family that purchased the property requested the house be opened up and remove multiple unusable rooms that were poorly positioned on the ground floor. An open plan living and kitchen area was added with bi-fold doors and deck looking over the garden at the rear, away from Mont Albert traffic noise. The second storey was also extended to add 2 new bedrooms and bathroom. The new additions were seamlessly blended into the existing residence.

Features:

  • Timber Weatherboard to match existing
  • Decorative Gable Ends
  • Large Bi-fold doors
  • Fire Place
  • Large new living areas
  • New kitchen built partly under existing stairs.

Conclusion:

The project has been a great success. The client loves the large open living areas, with the kitchen now in close proximity to the entertaining parts of the house. The new living areas now lead onto the beautiful backyard. The additions utilize the site fully and provide an abundance of living space.
